Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our civil construction team. The role focuses on preparing detailed, self-perform cost estimates for heavy civil projects based on plans, specs, and scopes of work.

Ideal candidates will have experience with self-perform contracting, subcontractor sourcing, and risk assessment, with familiarity in Bid2Win and HCSS Heavy Bid. Remote work is required, with occasional travel and EST/CST alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• 3–5+ years of estimating experience in self-perform civil contracting preferred.
• Experience reading contracts, drawings, specs, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size and scope.
• Furnish quantity takeoff information and assess total costs.
• Identify and vet subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with office and field teams to prepare estimates.
• Meet milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Support constructability reviews and obtain subcontractor pricing.
• Interact with operations post-award for alternates and site conditions.
