Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) in Texas. This full-time role involves extensive travel (up to 75%) and compensation up to $95/hour.

You will perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on high-voltage power systems, while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Vertiv offers a strong benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification (current and in good standing).
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies: short circuit, coordination, arc flash, PQ analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor).
• Test insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance on transformers, switchgear, cables, breakers.
• Interpret test results and write comprehensive engineering reports with findings.
