Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) in Texas. This role involves regional/national travel up to 75% to test high voltage power systems, perform commissioning, and generate detailed engineering reports.

A current NETA certification and extensive HV testing experience are required. Offer includes base compensation up to $95/hour, OT policies, signing bonus up to $10,000, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards and protective relays.
• Ability to read one-line/three-line diagrams and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical to microprocessor).
• Maintain compliance with NFPA 70E and OSHA safety requirements.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and lead multi-discipline project teams.
