Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform high‑voltage testing and system studies on electrical power equipment. Up to 75% travelregionally/nationally is required, with compensation up to $95/hour and a clear career progression path.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers.
• Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field; serve as technical lead on projects.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
