Job summary

Vertiv (ERS / HVM) seeks a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing with NETA III/IV certification for regional/national projects. In Texas, travel up to 75% is required bearing on certification level and project needs.

You will perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on high‑voltage power systems, generate technical reports, and mentor junior technicians. Role emphasizes rigorous adherence to NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety, with full benefits and relocation options as

Qualifications

NETA Level III or IV certification current and in good standing.
7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards and protective relays.

Responsibilities

Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality.
Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers and switchgear.
Interpret and analyze test results; author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on projects.
Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA safety requirements.
