Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV. You will conduct studies, calibrate relays, and generate detailed reports while mentoring junior technicians in a fast-paced field environment.

The role requires NETA Level III/IV certification and 7+ years of hands-on HV testing, with up to 75% travel and a compensation up to $95/hour.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III/IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards and fault analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality studies.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor).
• Interpret results and write comprehensive engineering reports with findings.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and lead multi-discipline project teams.
