Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) in Texas to support regional and national projects. This full-time role offers extensive certifications, hands-on testing on high-voltage systems up to 500kV, and leadership of testing teams.

Qualifications

• Current NETA Level III or IV certification.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage.
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Proficiency with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field.
• Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
