Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial sites in Kansas. You will lead, mentor, and train the team, ensure work meets NEC standards, and coordinate material lists and manpower to hit production and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Ability to read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Communicates with other trades and negotiates work assignments with trade supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside their crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedule for their team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands and communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and conveying it to the team.
• Ensure all work by crew complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Perform field layout using Trimble equipment and software.
• Read project specs and blueprints and lay out work accordingly.
• Correctly determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits.
