Job summary

Amteck is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers on commercial/industrial electrical installations. You will read plans, manage material lists, ensure quality and safety, and drive on-site schedules and budgets.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on conduit work, and ability to coordinate with supervision and other trades. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeymen.
• Strong understanding of small scope in complex projects and effective communication with trades.
• Proven aptitude for reading blueprints, specs and contract documents.
• Demonstrates leadership, planning and scheduling capabilities for on-site work.
• Familiar with BlueBeam, Navisworks or related project planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside their crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Contribute to production and budget goals by clear team communication.
• Ensure all crew work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit with tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuitry and project plans.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics; layout work areas incl. underground.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing accurately.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits as needed.
