Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew on commercial/industrial electrical projects. You will lead, mentor and evaluate a team of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians while ensuring safety and quality.

Responsibilities include coordinating manpower, reading blueprints, estimating material lists, and ensuring work complies with NEC and local codes, with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead a team of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Shows understanding of blueprints, schematics, and project specs.
• Strong communication with other trades and supervision.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs to the team.
• Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, and panels.
• Read and understand project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out work from electrical drawings, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits.
