Job summary

Amteck, LLC is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman on commercial/industrial projects. You will supervise daily work, ensure quality and safety, and coordinate materials and schedules with supervision.

You will read blueprints and project docs, develop job plans, and mentor staff to meet production and budget goals while ensuring NEC compliance. Weekend/overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with the capability and desire to grow in this area.
• Able to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and contract-related documents.
• Basic understanding of customer relationships and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Work with crew to ensure quality of work to high standards
• Develop manpower schedules for the team
• Create material lists from layouts and job site demands
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs to the team
• Ensure work complies with local and NEC guidelines
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics
• Layout small areas from drawings and documents including underground layouts
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits
