Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial and industrial projects. You will lead, mentor, and evaluate performance while ensuring work meets the highest quality standards and client expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to read blueprints and project docs, manage schedules, procure materials, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Able to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Reads blueprints and understands project-related documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards
• Develop manpower schedules for the team
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision
• Help achieve production and budget goals by coordinating with the team
• Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit
• Install and terminate electrical devices and fixtures
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuitry
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics
• Lay out work from drawings, including underground
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits
