Job summary

Amteck is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers on commercial and industrial electrical projects. You will mentor the team, review blueprints and project documents, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

You will develop manpower plans, prepare material lists, and communicate needs to supervision while maintaining compliance with NEC and local codes. Offshore or on-site coordination may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with the capability and desire to grow in this area. Able to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Shows an aptitude and willingness for learning how to read and understand blueprints and contract documents.
• Ability to develop manpower schedules and communicate lists to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside their crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in the development of an effective manpower schedule for their team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands and communicate lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicating that effectively to their team.
• Ensure all work done by crew is within local and NEC guidelines.
• Independently measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit and associated devices.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out small work areas from electrical drawings and project documents.
