Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians on commercial and industrial projects. You will lead, train and evaluate the team, ensuring high quality work and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to read blueprints and project documents. You will develop schedules, material lists and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Demonstrates leadership, able to grow into senior supervision roles.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, project specs and schematics with ease.
• Proficient with BlueBeam and Navisworks for project planning.
• Understands NEC, local codes and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Coordinate the crew’s work to ensure highest quality and efficiency.
• Develop manpower schedules and communicate needs to supervision.
• Create material lists from layouts and job demands, and relay to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by clear task delegation.
• Ensure all crew work complies with NEC and local guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and fittings.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, panels and feeders.
• Read and interpret project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Layout small work areas from drawings, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing accurately.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
