Job summary

Amteck seeks an experienced Foreman Electrician to supervise a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial projects. You will lead, mentor, and train the team while ensuring work meets NEC and client specs.

You will develop material lists, coordinate with supervision, and drive on-site safety and quality. Strong leadership and blueprint reading are essential for success on complex layouts.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities, with ability to grow into senior roles.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and contract docs from other trades.
• Understands construction schedules and man-power planning.
• Willingness to learn BlueBeam, Navisworks, and related project planning tools.
• Participates in leadership training when offered.
• Demonstrates teamwork and safe working practices on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers, and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work with crew to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and site demands.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs to the team.
• Ensure all crew work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices and panels.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work from drawings including underground layouts.
• Determine wire and conduit sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits.
