Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator in Houston to prepare and complete bid and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will lead the estimating team, coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to finalize proposals and ensure accurate, timely submissions.

The role requires blueprints interpretation, cost analysis, and collaboration with project management for a smooth transition from bid to execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years estimating or other relevant experience in closing construction estimates.
• Experience in Accubid estimating software, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam software preferred.
• Experience in CAD or 3D software preferred.
• Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off on project and complete estimate to computer printout.
• Identify parts of project that may be key to making a competitive estimate.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Evaluate areas for potential value engineering cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing discipline sub estimates for assigned bids.
