Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator in the Pearland, TX area to prepare and complete bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects.

You will lead bids, coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to finalize estimates and ensure accurate, compliant proposals. The role requires at least 4 years of estimating experience, proficiency in Accubid, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years' estimating or equivalent construction experience.
• Experience with Accubid estimating software, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam preferred.
• CAD or 3D software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off for project and complete the estimate,Identify parts of project key to a competitive estimate.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and contents of estimate.
• Evaluate areas for potential value engineering and cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing discipline sub-estimates for bids.
• Ensure all working documents back-up estimate figures and data.
• Develop labor productivity and unit costs based on site conditions and data.
• Prepare detailed listing of materials and equipment items for the estimate and obtain quotes.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review quotes for conformance.
• Draft scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects; brief Chief Estimator on scope and pricing.
• Maintain Rosendin estimating program and project files; ensure timely completion of client documents.
