Job summary

Leidos seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead cutting-edge efforts in the Undersea Systems Division. You will support underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions for defense missions.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary team delivering from production processes to prototype design, working with a world‑class group to advance maritime capabilities and readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Ocean), Physics, or Math.
• 10+ years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro‑mechanical systems.
• 5+ years of experience with leading integrated teams.
• Exposure to DoD technical program execution.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance. Current secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on electrical engineering support for the production, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex maritime systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic hardware at the component, assembly, and system level to resolve production and field issues.
• Perform technical investigations and root‑cause analysis, developing practical engineering solutions that improve reliability, manufacturability, and system performance.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, cable and wiring diagrams, bills of material, test procedures, specifications, and other technical documentation needed to support production.
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, technicians, and suppliers to resolve electrical component, circuit card, cabling, connector, and assembly challenges.
• Support component selection, configuration changes, obsolescence management, part substitutions, repairs, and technology refreshes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support electrical integration and test activities, including test equipment, failure analysis, troubleshooting, and disposition of nonconforming hardware.
• Provide engineering support for fielded systems, helping ensure delivered products remain reliable, supportable, and mission ready.
