Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Test and Integration Engineer to lead testing and validation efforts within the Undersea Systems Division. You will drive testing of underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions that support critical defense missions.

Collaborate with systems engineers, software, and hardware teams to develop comprehensive test plans, execute field tests, and automate validation. You will ensure reliability from prototype to deployment for Navy programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Ocean), Computer Science, Physics, or Math.
• 2+ years of hands-on testing, integration, validation, and verification experience with software and integrated electro-mechanical systems including developing test procedures
• Proficiency in test automation, data acquisition systems, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test and Validate: Write, develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure system functionality, reliability, and compliance with requirements.
• Integrate systems and conduct hands-on testing: Write, develop, and execute integration plans to bring complex systems together.
• Perform field and on-water based hands-on testing, validation, and verification of software and hardware systems, including integrated electro-mechanical systems.
• Collaborate: Work closely with systems engineers, software developers, and hardware teams to identify and resolve issues during testing phases.
• Automate Testing: Develop automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline validation processes.
• Analyze Results: Document and analyze test results, providing detailed reports and recommendations for system improvements.
• Support Development: Ensure a 'design for testing' focus during system development and integration.
