Job summary

Leidos Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead engineering efforts within the Undersea Systems Division. You will support underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions for defense missions.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on production processes to prototype design, ensuring reliability and readiness of complex maritime systems across sensor networks and unmanned platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Ocean), Physics, or Math.
• 10+ years of experience with subsea maritime systems or integrated electro‑mechanical systems.
• 5+ years of experience leading integrated teams.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance (current secret clearance required).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on electrical engineering support for production, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex maritime systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic hardware at component, assembly, and system levels to resolve production and field issues.
• Perform technical investigations and root‑cause analysis to improve reliability and manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, test procedures, specifications, and technical docs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, technicians, and suppliers to resolve electrical challenges.
• Support component selection, configuration changes, obsolescence management, and lifecycle refreshes.
• Support electrical integration and testing activities, including test equipment, failure analysis, and disposition of nonconforming hardware.
• Provide engineering support for fielded systems to ensure reliability and mission readiness.
