Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead cutting-edge engineering efforts within the Undersea Systems Division, supporting underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions. This role spans production to prototype design, with a multidisciplinary team delivering mission-critical maritime technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Ocean), Physics, or Math
• 10+ years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro-mechanical systems
• 5+ years of experience with leading integrated teams
• Exposure to DoD technical program execution
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance (current SECRET clearance required)

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on electrical engineering support for production, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex maritime systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic hardware at component, assembly, and system levels
• Develop technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, test procedures and specifications
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, technicians and suppliers to resolve electrical challenges
• Support component selection, obsolescence management, and technology refreshes throughout the product lifecycle
• Support electrical integration and test activities including failure analysis and disposition of nonconforming hardware
• Provide engineering support for fielded systems to ensure reliability and readiness
