Job summary

Leidos seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead cutting‑edge efforts in the Undersea Systems Division, supporting underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions for defense missions.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and support customers from production to prototype design, delivering mission‑critical maritime technologies and ensuring system reliability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro‑mechanical systems.
• 5+ years leading integrated teams.
• Exposure to DoD technical program execution.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance.
• Current secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on electrical engineering support for production, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex maritime systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic hardware at component, assembly, and system levels to resolve issues.
• Perform technical investigations and root‑cause analysis to improve reliability and manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, test procedures, and specs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, technicians, and suppliers to resolve challenges.
• Support component selection, obsolescence management, substitutions, repairs, and tech refreshes.
• Support electrical integration and test activities, including test equipment, failure analysis, and disposition of nonconforming hardware.
• Provide engineering support for fielded systems to ensure reliability and mission readiness.
