Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's Power global practice is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer in our Detroit office. You will lead project teams to create world-class electrical designs for new and retrofit power facilities, applying industry standards and client requirements.

The role requires ABET-accredited electrical engineering training, strong communication, and the ability to travel as needed. PE license is preferred, and EPC project experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in electrical engineering with 7 years EPC project experience.
• Or FE with 7 years EPC project experience; ABET-accredited degree in electrical/related field.
• Or MS in Electrical Engineering with 6 years EPC project experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI and IEEE standards; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings.
• Design electrical components per project requirements.
• Apply electrical engineering concepts and standards.
• Perform field inspections and act as field engineer on sites.
