Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design deliverables for US Federal projects. You'll own design completeness, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and act as Designer of Record for electrical systems in a hybrid office setting.

The role requires a BSEE, 5+ years of experience, PE registration, and REVIT proficiency. Travel may be required to DoD and federal facilities. Collaboration and clear communication are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE); At least 5 years of Electrical design experience.
• Professional Registration (PE).
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing is required.
• Overseas & US based travel may be required.
• Proficiency in REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines, while maintaining high quality standards.
• Act as the Designer of Record (DOR) for electrical design projects including schedule, budget, delegation of work to junior staff, quality control and sealing/stamping construction drawings and specifications.
• Gather information, interview stakeholders, make studies, perform calculations, and prepare original rough layouts and sketches as required.
• Present findings and outcomes to clients and other stakeholders.
• Perform high level tasks under minimal supervision using well-defined standards, procedures and codes.
• Perform product research; assist project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research.
• Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
• Prepare load analysis for different stages of design; Prepare and document Energy compliance calculations and forms.
• Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including document management and processing RFI's and Change Orders.
