Jacobs seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our team, applying extensive industry experience to solve today’s challenges in building services design and mission-critical outcomes.

You will manage multiple projects, perform lighting and electrical calculations, prepare load analyses, drawings, and energy compliance documents, and coordinate with engineers and architects while mentoring junior staff in a global engineering network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
• United States Citizenship.
• At least 10 years' of experience working in a corporate engineering environment.
• Strong mentorship focus to develop future engineers.
• Strong technical focus in the Architectural Engineering space.
• Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, and remaining dedicated to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
• Prepare load analysis for different stages of design.
• Oversee the preparation of drawings detailing system design.
• Prepare basis of design reports.
• Prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms.
• Design grounding and lightning protection.
• Design redundant electrical systems.
• Coordinate design with engineers and architects of other disciplines.
• Facilitate construction administration.
