Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for federal facilities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complete, accurate deliverables.

The position requires a BSEE, PE, and 5+ years of electrical design experience, with REVIT proficiency, DoD/UFC familiarity, travel readiness, and the ability to meet deadlines in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
• Professional Registration (PE) required.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Designer of Record (DOR) for electrical design projects including schedule, budget, delegation of work to junior staff, quality control and sealing/stamping construction drawings and specifications.
• Lead design efforts as part of a multi-disciplinary team with architects, structural, mechanical, civil and fire protection engineers.
• Gather information, interview stakeholders, perform studies, calculations, and prepare rough layouts and sketches.
• Present findings and outcomes to clients and stakeholders.
• Perform high-level tasks under minimal supervision using defined standards and codes.
• Prepare load analyses and energy compliance calculations and forms.
• Perform construction administration and field investigations, including RFI and Change Order processing.
