Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Project Network Engineer to lead end-to-end network design and implementation for DoD-related projects at Joint Base Andrews, JBAB, and surrounding sites. You will craft architectures, perform assessments, and guide procurement decisions to meet security and mission requirements.

The role requires active DoD clearance, strong DoD network expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; other combinations may be accepted.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• Active CCNA/CCNP Security certifications or CompTIA Security+ as applicable (8140 compliance).
• Strong background in network architecture design and end-to-end solutions for DoD environments.
• Experience documenting network architectures, diagrams, procedures, and operational baselines.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and diagram end-to-end network solutions for assigned projects.
• Develop detailed network designs aligned with DoD standards and security policies.
• Lead network engineering efforts across DoD-focused environments.
• Collaborate with system engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, installations, and changes.
• Oversee installation and configuration of network equipment including routers, switches, taclanes, and firewalls.
• Ensure compliance with network security protocols and RMF/ STIG requirements.
