Job summary

Leidos in Maryland is seeking an experienced Project Network Engineer to join the Defense Group supporting JB Andrews, JBAB, and the Pentagon. You will lead network design, contribute to architecture development, and work with DoD standards to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret clearance, CCNA and CCNP Security (8140) certifications, and a bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in network architecture and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Active CompTIA Security+ or CCNP Security (8140) certification.
• Active CCNA Certification (8140) compliance.
• Strong background in network architecture design and end-to-end infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys as needed.
• Serve as the lead Network Engineer on assigned projects.
• Develop detailed network designs and architectures aligned with DoD standards.
• Collaborate with system engineers, project managers, and stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, installations, and changes.
• Oversee installation and configuration of routers, switches, taclanes, and firewalls.
• Design full-scale network solutions including VPNs, DHCP, IP management, and security controls.
• Ensure compliance with 802.1x, DOD STIGs, SRGs, and accreditation standards.
