Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Lead Director - Digital Engineering to own strategy, modernization, delivery, and operation of customer identity platforms and services for Health100, Caremark, Specialty, Retail, and beyond.

You will lead a high-performing team across Product, Security, Architecture, and Business, driving secure, scalable identity solutions that enable enterprise growth and superior customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Identity & Access Management, or related tech fields.
• 7+ years of people leadership experience, including engineering managers and senior managers.
• Experience defining and executing technology strategy, roadmaps, and multi-year modernization initiatives.
• 5+ years of cloud-native transformation, API-first architectures, and platform engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of CIAM, authentication, authorization, profile services, and security principles.
• Proven experience managing budgets, vendor partnerships, workforce planning, and tech investments.
• Track record delivering critical technology platforms with availability, security, and scale.
• Experience leveraging AI and automation to improve engineering productivity and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-team engineering organization responsible for authentication services, profile management, identity integrations, and platform operations.
• Drive evolution toward scalable, cloud-native, API-first architecture while ensuring secure, seamless customer experiences.
• Oversee modernization initiatives, talent development, and business outcomes at scale.
• Build strong relationships with Product, Security, Architecture, Infrastructure and Business partners to support the roadmap.
• Manage program-level status reporting and communication to stakeholders.
