Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Lead Director - Digital Engineering to lead the Customer Identity platforms and services. You will own strategy, modernization, delivery, and operation of identity capabilities serving millions of CVS Health customers across Health100, Caremark, Specialty, Retail, and Health Services.

The role partners across Product, Security, Architecture, and Business teams to advance modernization, strengthen security, and deliver identity solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering or platform engineering with a focus on identity & access management.
• 7+ years of people leadership experience, including leadership of engineering managers and senior managers.
• Experience defining and executing technology strategy, roadmaps, and multi-year modernization initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience driving cloud-native transformation, API-first architectures, and platform engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of CIAM, authentication, authorization, and identity security principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-team engineering organization responsible for authentication services, profile management, identity integrations, and platform operations.
• Drive evolution toward scalable, cloud-native, API-first architecture while ensuring secure, seamless customer experiences.
• Oversee modernization efforts, risk management, and cross-workstream dependencies; deliver end-to-end program plans and reporting.
• Define and track metrics and KPIS to measure success and business outcomes for the digital identity portfolio.
• Build relationships with Product, Security, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Business partners to support the delivery roadmap.
