Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division seeks a Specialist Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer to join a hybrid team near Raleigh, NC. You will develop real-time DSP algorithms for high-power UPS and energy storage products, working across the full design life cycle with global colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of real-time digital controls experience.
• MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of industry experience.
• H1B sponsorship available for qualified US candidates.

Responsibilities

• Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting requirements and commitments.
• Provide guidance to project team members and collaborate with global teams.
• Develop real-time DSP algorithms for power conversion applications.
• Create MATLAB/Simulink models and verify designs via simulations.
• Develop converter control algorithms and verify with HIL testbeds.
• Evaluate control architectures to select best fit for applications.
• Apply control theory to design and validate controllers for performance.
• Collaborate on new product development across UPS, energy storage, and next-gen tech.
