Job summary

Penske is seeking an experienced Technician I at our York, PA site to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll lead as a senior technician, mentor teammates, and work independently on major and minor repairs, with road tests and diagnostics as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Specialized training in engines, transmissions, differentials; ASE/608/609 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Performing preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repairing major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
• Keeping the work area clean and safe.
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log and complete repairs.
• Learning new skills through Penske technician training.
• Working on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
