Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking an experienced Technician I in Wilkes-Barre to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will lead by example, mentor teammates, and work independently on major and minor repairs, including road tests and diagnostics.

You will receive ongoing training, access to Penske's advanced maintenance technologies, and a pathway for career growth within a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical truck and tractor-trailer maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical vehicle repair certification preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner.
• Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
• Keeping your work area clean and safe.
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learning new skills through Penske's technician training.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
