Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities across multiple campus projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, and reports for executive reviews, while coordinating with Facilities, Contractors, Designers and Vendors.

You will work with procurement, engineering and sales teams to build a campus master plan and handle entitlement and permitting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices.
• Experience with Lump Sum, CM at Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for executive program updates (PowerPoint/Excel).
• Willingness to travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design, preconstruction and construction activities on multiple projects.
• Maintain budgets, schedules and status reports for each project.
• Create updates for executive reviews and communicate program status monthly.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and procurement teams to develop a master development program.
• Manage entitlement, permitting and site development plans.
• Review pay applications and change orders; ensure timely payments.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and represent QTS in key meetings.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering

MBA or Master’s in Engineering/Management desirable
