Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities across campus projects in New York. This role collaborates with Facilities, Designers, Engineers, and Vendors to deliver on-time, within-budget data center developments.

You will manage scopes of work, cost estimates, procurement and supplier coordination, with regular updates to senior leadership. Travel to site locations will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for program updates to executives, and Excel for budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, preconstruction and construction activities on assigned data center projects.
• Coordinate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors and Operations staff.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules and status reports for executive reviews.
• Prepare master development programs and site design solutions within time and budget constraints.
• Manage entitlements, permitting and procurements; review pay applications and change orders.
