Deckers Brands seeks a Lead Copywriter for HOKA to transform product innovation, athlete stories, and brand purpose into compelling campaigns across channels. You will shape narratives that connect runners, hikers, and movers with the brand’s voice.

The ideal candidate brings a 9+ year track record in advertising or in-house creative, a portfolio across retail brands, and a passion for performance and lifestyle brands. This is a remote role with West Coast preference.

Qualifications

• Broad portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, creative concepting, and storytelling across retail brands and multiple mediums.
• Strong storytelling craft for multiple channels and formats.
• Proven ability to present ideas persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent understanding of marketing and advertising principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, art directors, and creative leaders to define the narrative and copy direction for campaigns and brand initiatives.
• Brainstorm and present bold concepts and storytelling that spark emotion and drive measurable impact.
• Translate strategy and briefs into engaging copy concepts, narratives, and messaging for runners, hikers, and movers.
• Create and shape stories across digital channels—campaigns, site updates, social media—reflecting HOKA’s voice.
• Craft retail, experiential narratives, and product-focused videos to turn discovery into brand connections.
• Elevate athlete and product stories to celebrate performance and the joy of movement.
• Champion the HOKA voice, ensuring communications reflect brand personality and principles.
• Develop expertise in HOKA product language and messaging frameworks across channels.
