Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced editor to lead editorial quality across educational assessments. The role focuses on end‑to‑end copyediting, adherence to client style guidelines, and collaboration across Editorial, Asset Services, Content, CDS, and Pearson teams.

You will help maintain quality, provide training, and participate in cross‑functional initiatives while leveraging AI tools to enhance content with editorial oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification/on‑the‑job training.
• Minimum of three years editorial experience and two years educational assessment experience.
• Demonstrates strong end‑to‑end copyediting proficiency across spelling, grammar, punctuation, and usage.
• Interprets major style guides (CMS, Gregg, Garner’s) with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per standards.
• Ensures uniformity and consistency across assessment components during the workday.
• Queries deviations from client style guidelines when needed.
• Understands copyeditor scope and flags concerns when necessary.
• Seeks opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise and stay current with best practices.
