Job summary

Pearson is seeking a seasoned editor to lead editorial work for assessments, ensuring high-quality copyeditng across content. You will apply style guides, manage end-to-end editorial processes, and collaborate with Content, CDS, and Pearson teams to maintain consistency and accuracy.

You will leverage Pearson platforms and AI-assisted tools to improve content quality, while mentoring colleagues and upholding rigorous publishing workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification/on-the-job training.
• Minimum of three years’ editorial experience and two years’ educational assessment experience.
• Strong copyediting proficiency across spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax and usage.
• Familiar with major style guides (Chicago, Gregg, Garner’s) and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage and style per standards across components.
• Ensures uniformity and consistency; identifies errors throughout the workday.
• Adheres to client style guidelines and flags deviations when needed.
• Understands editor scope and escalates concerns appropriately.
• Proactively seeks learning opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise.
