Pearson is seeking an experienced editor to lead editorial quality across assessment content and publishing workflows. The role emphasizes applying established style guidelines, maintaining consistency, and collaborating across multiple departments to ensure accuracy and reliability.

The position involves leading editorial decisions, mentoring, and leveraging AI tools for content development while ensuring strict editorial oversight and accessibility compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent certification/on‑the‑job training.
• Minimum of three years’ editorial experience and two years’ educational assessment experience.
• Demonstrates strong end‑to‑end copyediting proficiency across spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax and usage.
• Interprets and applies major style guides confidently (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style, Gregg Reference Manual, Garner’s Modern English Usage).

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage and style per department and client standards.
• Ensures uniformity and consistency across assessment components.
• Applies client style guidelines and queries deviations when needed.
• Understands copyeditor scope and flags concerns when required.
• Proactively learns to enhance editorial expertise and styles.
