Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for a correctional facility kitchen in Lexington, NE. The role involves coordinating and supervising staff to ensure efficient operations while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will train staff in food service and sanitation, ensure meals are prepared on time, and maintain consistency in portion sizes, appearance, and temperature. Previous supervisory experience and strong attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking.
Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks.
Experience supervising a team.
Strong customer service mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time, and ensuring portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality.
