Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor to oversee the correctional facility kitchen team in West Chester, PA. You will coordinate and supervise staff to ensure efficiency and adherence to standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include training employees in food service and sanitation, ensuring timely meal services, and maintaining high quality portions, appearance, and temperatures. Prior supervisory experience and a strong eye for detail are essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year’s prior culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once.
• The ideal candidate must have experience supervising a team.
• Food Handlers certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time, and ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality.
