Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor to lead a fast-paced food service team at the Daviess County Jail facility in IN. The role focuses on coordinating staff, ensuring on-time meal service, and maintaining high standards of portion control, appearance, and temperature.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of culinary experience, strong knowledge of cooking methods, and proven supervisory abilities, with a focus on safety and quality in a corrections environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in high-volume, quality scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Ability to train and supervise a team and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring timely meal services and high-quality portions, appearance and temperature.
