Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for the Daviess County Jail, IN, part-time onsite. The role focuses on coordinating and supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation that meets strict quality and sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate has practical, high-volume cooking experience, supervises teams, and maintains strong product knowledge while delivering friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year's culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
• Strong knowledge of culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising a team.
• High-level product knowledge and friendly customer service.
• Food Handler certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training staff in food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time, and ensuring portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality.
