Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor to join our correctional kitchen team in Salem, VA. You will coordinate and supervise staff to ensure efficient meal preparation, on-time service, and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of high-volume culinary experience, strong knowledge of cooking methods, and proven leadership abilities to guide a team while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume operation with scratch cooking.
• Solid knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
• Experience supervising a team and delivering friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and train staff in all aspects of food service and sanitation; ensure meals start on time and meet quality standards.
