Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in high-volume production in hotels, restaurants or college foodservice.
  • Safe food handling certification preferred or obtained within one year of hire (dependent on unit).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen production staff in the absence of the Sous Chef.
  • Plan and execute daily food production according to recipes.
  • Ensure timely production of meals for large events and receptions.
  • Maintain HACCP and safe food handling practices.
  • Assist with menu planning, presentation, and creative ideas.
