Job summary

Summit, a brand of Elior North America, is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for a correctional facility kitchen in Concordia, KS. You will coordinate and supervise a team to ensure meals are prepared on time, with high quality and strict sanitation in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of culinary experience in high-volume environments, strong knowledge of cooking methods, and proven supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• At least one year's culinary experience in a quality, high-volume establishment.
• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Food Handlers certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and train employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation.
• Ensure meals begin on time and that portions, appearance and temperature meet high standards.
