Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 3 to plan, manage and execute assigned projects with moderate complexity on site in Kansas City. You will lead safety culture, manage subcontractors, coordinate work, and drive schedule adherence to achieve timely, profitable project completion in alignment with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision and values.

The role requires strong leadership, safety mentorship, and extensive experience in construction management, including healthcare projects and budget

Qualifications

• 8+ years construction experience.
• 5+ years field supervision experience.
• Must have valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Demonstrated success leading complex healthcare projects (high value).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non‑traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and mentor staff to maintain injury‑free environment.
• Manage subcontractors, staff, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work.
• Coordinate and manage site care, custody and control.
• Lead meetings (daily standup, weekly trade meetings, OAC meetings).
• Prepare and manage project schedule with Project Manager.
• Monitor budgets and costs using cost reports.
• Communicate project information to owners, design team, and contractors.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance and manage project closeouts.
