Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Superintendent to plan, manage and execute projects of moderate complexity. You will lead the field team, coordinate safety, schedule, subcontractors and materials to achieve timely, profitable project outcomes.

The role requires deep construction knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to communicate effectively with owners, design teams and field staff. Travel and non-traditional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years construction experience.
• 5+ years field supervision experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of the safety culture and ensures an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors, staff, suppliers and project programs.
• Develops work plans, coordinates site logistics and scheduling.
• Leads daily standups and weekly trade meetings; manages project meetings.
• Reviews and updates project drawings, logs and inspection notebooks.
• Monitors budget and cost reports; uses project management system data.
• Communicates key information to owners, design teams and authorities.
• Supports closeouts and transitions with the owner and stakeholders.
