JE Dunn Construction is seeking a General Superintendent in Kansas City to develop and execute project plans, oversee complex projects, and lead a team. You will manage safety, quality, schedules, budgets, and coordination with owners, design teams, and authorities.

The role emphasizes independent decision-making and a path toward Director of Field Operations growth. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in construction, 10+ years on-site supervision, and a proven track record on large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• 12+ years construction experience.
• 10+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience leading Lean principles on projects (Preferred).
• Demonstrated success leading complex, high-value commercial construction projects with a value exceeding $200M.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
• Provides management of subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow.
• Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO for a small project or a major portion of a larger project.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages the care, custody and control of the project site.
• Leads various meetings including daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Attends, manages and participates in appropriate progress and/or project OAC meetings.
• Creates, manages and implements the project’s schedule with Project Manager.
• May track and monitor project budget and costs using cost reports.
