Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 1 to plan, manage and execute assigned projects in Louisville, KY. You will lead safety culture, coordinate subcontractors, manage staff and program controls, and ensure on-time, on-budget completion. Strong communication and planning skills are essential.

The role requires 3+ years of construction experience and at least 1+ year in a supervisory position, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Travel and non-traditional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of construction experience with at least 1+ year of field supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the project lifecycle from planning to closeout.
• Manage subcontractors, materials, and equipment on site.
• Oversee safety, quality, and progress in daily operations.
• Develop and adjust work plans, schedules, and budgets as needed.
• Coordinate meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
